Lupita Nyong’O Given Rights To Shoot Chimamanda Adichie’s ‘Americanah’

Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’O has gotten the film rights to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel ‘Americanah‘. During Stylist Magazine‘s Stylist Book Club Inaugural Session at the Waldorf Hilton in London on May 29, 2014, Adichie said the Oscar winning actress now has the full rights to make a derivative work off her popular novel. Adichie’s book ‘Half of a Yellow Sun’ was also adapted into a movie and released in 2014, but it’s yet to hit Nigerian cinemas as the National Films and Censors Board has refused to approve it for public viewing
