Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather engaged in a long, heated face-off as their rivalry intensified ahead of their forthcoming exhibition fight.
The pair will collide in an exhibition boxing bout on 6th June at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. An altercation previously broke out in the build-up to their showdown after Logan’s younger brother, Jake Paul, swiped Mayweather’s hat during an intense exchange.
But Mayweather, who retired undefeated with a 50-0 boxing record in 2017, maintained a no-nonsense approach during his face-off with Logan on Thursday.
Paul’s height helped him tower over the boxing legend as the pair locked horns during their heated face-off.
However, the 26-year-old YouTuber’s decision to step away from his opponent led to Mayweather getting back in his face with a steely look.Mayweather and Paul’s prolonged face-off at the Versace Mansion in Miami was eventually broken when the pair posed for pictures.
Paul, who has only fought in one professional boxing fight against YouTube rival KSI, took to Twitter to mock the 44-year-old American superstar.
The American YouTube star claimed that Mayweather ‘tried to kiss him’ during their standoff in Miami.Official rules for the hotly-anticipated fight were recently dropped, which confirmed that there would be no official winner crowned from the bout.
Judges at ringside have also been ruled out, but knockouts and stoppage to the contest are permitted during the eight-round clash.
Mayweather dismissed concerns over any threat Paul might pose, saying there is a “difference between YouTube boxing and elite boxing.”
The boxing legend added that his opponent’s strategy would involve “banking on his height” and “banking on his reach.”
Mayweather explained: “There is a difference between YouTube boxing and elite boxing — you guys will see the difference.
“He’s banking on his height, he’s banking on his reach. So, we’ll just see. I have trained a little bit, here and there, not every day. But I don’t have to.”
